The Looks:

I really like the look, my favorite is the height of it. I also like how it is colored  for instance, the gradiance on the top red things, really puts it "over the top". I love how it covers most of the face, but still leaves a little to see.

The Effort:

This hat had a lot of effort put into it. I like how ROBLOX colored the hat to look as if the sun if shining on the edges of it. The emblem at the top wins me over, I cannot not resist buying it.

The Value:

For 100 Robux, this hat is a great value, I recommend you buy it now.

The Overall:

This is a great hat for what you pay. The emblem, shading, and red things on the top simply make it one of a kind. Currently, on 137 have been sold, making it a rare hat. It will have many sales within the next few weeks, though. I recommend you buy this hat, along with some clothes to match it. Overall, the grade is 9.3/10.0.

Looks like roblox decided to make an un-usual gear today. The Throwing Spork.

The Texture:

The Texture of this is very nice. For the most part, it actually has a chrome/silver like look, with nice edges, and beautiful gradients, but some of the coloring is off. For instance, if you look at inside the spoon part, it is dark grey. I would expect a gradient there, going from light to darker in the middle, acting like a glare.

The Looks:

The looks, well, are about accurate. It actually does, look like a spork. Some of the texturing is a bit off at points(as listed above). The mesh actually has a bend in the handle, like a real spork would as well. The mesh had work put into it. It is very realistic, and was a nice mesh made.

The Effort:

The Effort seems like it was a quick make, (quicker than most). Even if it wasn't, it still could be better, as we know almost everything could. I think the scripting (as stated below) could have added more cool thing, like if you shot it a certain amount of times it would turn into a giant spork, or if you pressed a button, it would turn into something stronger, or be stronger for a certain amount of time, but over all, not to bad, but not the best.

       The Scripting:

The scripting is simple scripting, compared to other gear. It acts sort of like a gun, but shoots (more like a throw) a spork, instead of a bullet. It is quite simple, though. If cool things like extra health, or extra strength, or increased speed was added, the gear would definitely have more buys, and would be a lot more useful.

      The Overall:

Overall, this 'Spork' is an okay weapon, (not one I'd take into combat). Although this doesn't have many features, it is still fun to use in games like Catalog Heaven, Gear wars, and For minimal Self Protection.The texture and looks are fairly accurate, and the scripting is simple compared to other gear, but still fluent. I'd give this gear a 7/10 average.

    Hello I am now going to be doing a review on the gear,Wizards of the Astral Isles: Pegasus.

 

                                                   The Texture:

 The texture for this is really good.IT looks like a horse in the sky and the shading adds to the effect.The wing texture is a good part of texture becasue it makes the wings look a little folded and that is neat. The face texture and the Emblem of the Wizards of the Astral Isles was besigned nice with different shades of blue and white.The texture gets an 8.

                                                           The looks:

       This gear looks great.We have never gotten a pegasus before on ROBLOX.The skin looks really well designed.The wings could have been better but ROBLOX did do a good job on making them look virtualy realistic. The eyes could have a black pupil to make it look more like a Pegasus.The legs mesh was nicly done. The looks get a 8.3.

 

                                  The Effort:

      The effrot for this is good.ROBLOX spent time on the shading of the pegasus and the wings to make them go up and down.There isnt much to say because the things they really did was make the legs and shade the parts to make it look real and the wings.The effort gets a 8.

 

 

                                                                 The Scripting:

     The scripting for this gear is good but not about perfect.It works fine when you ride on.The bad thing is when you try to go trough a loop or turn ROBLOX didnt script it so it runs smoothly on turns if you hit a block.Otherwise the scripting is good and you go up and down by adjusting your camera.The scripting gets a 7.9.

 

 

                               The Overall:

   Overall this is a good gear.The prince could have been more reasonable.It is R$2000 and it should have been about R$1000 or R$1500.The Pegasus itself is great and it is the only and first one on ROBLOX so far.So this is a really good gear to buy if you could when it was onsale during the president's day sale. Overall this gets a 7.9.

Undead Nation Review

             Welcome to today's game review by needysweet1! Today, I will be reviewing "Undead Nation" by ninaxrasx

Construction

          The construction of the game was decent. Some places was great, and others...not so great. It was a lot of weird moments in the game when I would just get threw off the map as soon as I would spawn in a chapter and go through some stuff (the bricks). To be honest, the construction could have used some more work (knowing that the game is in Version 1.5). But one thing I loved was the zombies!

Scripting 

          The scripting of the game was pretty good. The cut scenes was great as well as the in-game music. They both fitted each other perfectly. Some other thing that got my attention was whenever I was attacked by a nano-mite, I would slowly die and I cut see the effects of being poisoned as well. That really crammed the word "Amazing" into the game. The only thing here that was bad was the fact that whenever a lot of zombies spawn at the same time, I would lag completely.

Gameplay 

          The game play was amazing. This was indeed one great zombie game. Although this game is still young, I can tell already that it has a lot of potential to be one of the best zombie games on Roblox. The game play really couldn't have been any better. Unless you know... The lag would be taken out.. 

Overall  

          This game was really a great game. I would recommend it to a lot of people. It just needs a lot of repairs and fixes and it'll be Epic. For that, this game gets 3 stars out of 5. I'll be glad to see some updates to this game so it can really show it's full potential. Until then, this has been today's game review with needysweet1! 

New Website

Hey guys, today I'm announcing our new website. I know this one is new, but me and key thought you guys should get better. So over the next week or two I will be posting blog post about how it's coming. 

What will make this different?

• Well because I will be hosting it on my server instead of this used by Google who already has enough to deal with. It will load faster
• We will be using WordPress. Which will allow for better looking webpages and much more. (Why WordPress? It's true I'm a very good website designer, but to design a website advanced as WordPress would take many month. I will be making the website design though.

Much more then listed above will be better, I just can't think right now. Also, I'm holding a design contest, for our new website and logo. We going for a much newer look, a clean and sleek look. Any colors will do.

Why learn how to script?

It is well-known that Roblox offers a neat scripting API that lets users program in the Lua scripting language. But why should you learn it? What purpose does it serve you to learn it? Let me contrast some statements some users have given me.

"You're already really good at scripting. I will never be that good, so I should never learn"

Wrong, very wrong. When I started scripting, users like xLEGOx (now Stravant), Anaminus, and Stickmasterluke were (and still are) fantastic scripters. I looked at them and thought, "I will never be that good. Never." Thankfully I didn't stop there though. Not that I ever became better, but I never let the thought of others being better than me stop me. I used it has positive motivation. Something to strive for.

I came from not knowing anything about computers to knowing quite a lot about them and programming. I am no genius either. I am a B-average student and don't care too much about math or science. However, I still learned how to script and love doing it.

"The wiki doesn't help"

I learned from the wiki. It helps a ton! The main issue you have here is that you aren't willing to read through full articles and then constantly practice what the articles teach you. If you want to learn something that a wiki article teaches you, then you MUST practice it a lot until you get a true understanding of how it all works.

"Scripting has no future value for me"

If I never got into scripting, I would still be chasing a false dream of becoming a fighter pilot, which will never happen due to my poor eyesight. Scripting opened up the doors of computers to me, which has opened up a whole new field of profession that I want to go into. Lua scripting has also introduced me to larger languages, such as C++ and Java, which are languages used in the professional fields today. Scripting may or may not have future value for you, but if it does, why risk passing up the opportunity of learning it?

"Scripting is too hard"

This may be an age issue. I was 13 when I started scripting, and it was pretty difficult at first. If you are younger than 13, I still encourage you to strive to learn, but it WILL be difficult, but challenges are what programmers live for. The goal is to never stop trying. Always push forward in your learning.

"Scripting is useless"

You might as well say computers are useless then. In fact, you might as well throw your computer out a window. But instead, I encourage you to change your mindset and give it a try.

"How do I learn?"

There are a lot of great resources online. Honestly, googling questions is a great way to find help. Sites like Stackoverflow have tons of archived forum posts that I have learned tons from. The ROBLOX Wiki is a great place to learn how to script in Lua on Roblox, and Lua.org provides great documentation for the Lua language in general.

Simon says Game review

          Welcome to today's game review by your's truly, needysweet1. Today we will be reviewing "Simon Says" by, robredeyes2

  Construction 

          The construction game was great. You couldn't ask for any more from a Simon says game. A hardcore Simon says game... There was many levels some I didn't even get a chance to play including snakes and ladders and a checkerboard. But the maps I did play, I loved them and was very pleased. In the construction, the game was great. 

Scripting 

          The scripting of this game was good as well. From the Gui down to the Simon says commands, this game was great in the scripting. But it wasn't that much though. But hey, it's a Simon says game, you can't put that much things in a game that is based on something like Simon says. 

Gameplay   

          The gameplay was very fun at first! But after some time (about 20 minutes) I started to get bored. That's the only part that made me sad about this game. I expected to play this game for more than 20 minutes without getting bored. 20 minutes is normally how long I used to always play it at school! But there it was much more fun and much more hardcore (which was bad at some times!).

Overall 

          So you want to know the overall huh? Well i'll tell you, this game will be real fun if you want to kill a few minutes having a great time. But after those few minutes pass, you'll be bored and sad :(. For that, this game gets 3 Simon says, out of 5. 

Biohazard Cap

   Today I will be reviewing the Biohazard Cap.I know this is a little late since it was made Jaunuary 31st but I just noticed it today on the Catalog.ROBLOX put a good enough time on the texture of this.The texture is Biohazard suit red and orange which is neat since we dont get these specific shades of orange and yellow.The airhole texture in the back is cool.The hat looks very shiny because it is in the sun if you look at the glimmer parts.The texture gets a 8.2.

                                                     The Looks:

     As I said before this looks pretty well.The different shades of yellow and orange give it a Biohazard suit look.The air holes on the back make it look part trucker cap hat.This goes well if you have a T-Shirt that has the same colors or about the same and with a biohazard symbol. So this is a good hat.The looks gets a 8.1.

                       

                                                The Effort:

  The effort for this is good.ROBLOX did some time on the shading of the yellows and oranges as well as the airholes on the back of the cap.The Biohazard symbol wasnt put much time into.The effort for this gets a 7.8.

                                              The Overall:

   For R$75 this is a good buy. It works great with orange shirts and hats and also with yellow shrts and hats. What I dont like is that the orange under the black outline makes it somewhat stuffted and it makes the cap look a little ugly. The air holes in the back are good if you want to look like a trucker man. I reccomend you buy this.Overall this gets a 8.4.

Rest In Peace, Erik, New Live Chat System! : 2/11/13

One of our greatest admin, or friend, on ROBLOX has died. Struggling from fighting cancer for a straight 3 years. He shall be remembered. If it weren't for him nor David, our CEO and Founder of ROBLOX, ROBLOX wouldn't be here in 2013. Nor in the future. Erik's Hat and T-Shirt were sold a few days after Erik's Death on ROBLOX was posted on blog, to support him and to find I guess for once, a cure to cancer. 2/11/13 will never be remembered. Neither will Erik. May Erik Cassel rest in peace.

Erik Cassel's Hat(Well Worn Hat)

   Hi. I know this review is a little late so don't tell me that in comments. I'm reviewing this today because it got it's name changed. That is why I am reviewing and I should of done this review on the 11th or 12th when Erik Cassel died but I forgot. Here it is now.

       

                                         

The Texture

    The texture of this hat is pretty good. You can see the pieces of straw made to create this hat and the different because of the sun's rays. Also, the texture is good because the shadow of the hat and the bright parts make it look like you are working on a farm or field on a hot summer day. The texture on this gets a 8.1.

The Looks:

    This hat looks very well done for a 2010 hat. It looks great with farm overalls and if you try to dress up as Erik Cassel. The texture is very nice. I really like the shading because it makes it look alive and not a lifeless mesh. So I recommend you get this hat in the next 2 days for R$20 before it goes out in the next 2 days or so. The looks gets a 8.

                                                 

The Effort:

   The effort put in to this was a good time. ROBLOX mostly focused on the texture but he also focused on the shading a lot. The shape of the hat is pretty well so the effort was put into this was actually a great time and not like 75% of the time when ROBLOX focuses like an hour on the mesh and hat and that is it. Effort gets a 8.1.

The Overall:

    Overall this is a great hat. It can be used for many things and you can use it to honor Erik Cassel by dressing up as him. Get it now before it goes off-sale and it is R$24 cheaper. So, if you admire ROBLOX Administrators and you want to look like a person on the farm or a trucker get this hat to honor Erik Cassel. Also, if you buy this hat it will help ROBLOX donate to Cancer Research to help find a cure for cancer. Overall this hat gets an 8.1.

Timeless Tophat-A Catalog Review

  Today I am back and I will be reviewing a newly released hat. The hat which i will be reviewing is Timeless Tophat.This is a really good top hat for many reasons. So if you want to be snazzy in a white suit you should buy this hat or if you're into collecting top hats.

The Texture

      The texture for this is good. I think this is the first time us ROBLOXians have seen this pattern on a top hat. Also, the shape is somewhat new.ROBLOX made the texture of the feather new so that is good. Finally I like the shading on the band of the fedora.The Texture gets a 8.

The Appearance:

  The appearance for this is really good. It's better with a white and black suit or white and red suit. I really like the feather part because they made it the right shades of a red feather. What I think should be better is the top part itself. From an angle it looks a bit curved and it should be more cylinder shaped. Also, the flatter part could be more curved at the back, but that is my opinion. The appearance gets an 7.9.

             

The Effort:

     The effort that was put into this was a good amount. In my opinion, the part that ROBLOX worked on the most was the feather because of the shading and shape.The effort into the texture of the leaf with the 2 little leafs acting like arms. ROBLOX also did a nice job around the shading in the hat's band to make it look angled a little. So the effort for this gets an 8.3.

The Overall:

       This is a pretty good hat for R$150 and now with a RAP (Recent Average Price) of R$ 850+. The texture is pretty cool and this looks good with a suit. Right now it is raising. I suggest you wait and then you might get it easily if prices lower.So this is a great top hat for collectors and businessmen. The price is reasonable as long as it stays low. The overall gets a 8.5.

                                                

Difference Between Scripting and Programming

The Debate

I (Crazyman32) have debated many times on the Roblox  forums whether scripting on Roblox  can be considered programming or not. For a long time, I argued that the two are interchangeable  scripting is the same as programming. However, others argued that they are totally different and not related to each other. Other crazy arguments flowed through as well.

Over the few years I have been programming and scripting on Roblox (approx. 5 years), I have learned what the true differences are. To end the debate once-and-for-all, I want to share my knowledge with you, the Roblox players.

The Truth

Have you ever heard the phrase "a square is a rectangle, but a rectangle isn't always a square"? This is the truth about scripting.

By the definition of computer programming, scripting IS programming, however there is a large gap between what scripting languages do and what programming languages do.

The big difference is that Scripting is the process of writing source code that another already-existing program will interpret how it wants to. This allows scripting languages to be very dynamic, for the programmer can tell the program how to interpret the scripts.

Example:

The Roblox game is written primarily in the programming language C++. Lua is then implemented inside the C/C++ code, which us Roblox players then use to write Lua scripts. The C++ developers of Roblox can add/delete/change the functionality of Lua within Roblox so it has different effects on the game.

TLDR

Scripting is used to control a program. Programming is used to control the computer.

Blizzaria: The Frozen

                                   

   Hello again, today my review will be on Blizzaria: The Frozen. This is one of the few hats that have been picked to be a hat by ROBLOX which users made. This was made by DarkGenex. One final off topic fact is that this was on sale on the presidents day sale and will go off sale. The effort is this is good. One thing DarkGenex did was that he made it look frozen and he did that by making it look a little green. So he put in like greensteel instead of bluesteel. Next, it looks like somewhat possessed. Also, the texture is smooth on the inside because it is dark blue filling and in the mouth is 3 shades of light blue.

The Appearance:

  As I said before this looks great for a pumpkin. The green-steel as I like to call it is a nice touch. The blue inside on the eyes and nose is a dark blue. In the mouth is Aqua a little and then light blue and darker shade of light blue. For all of you DBZ fans this looks he is shooting a kamehameha out of it's mouth. The look for this with the blue and the green-steal make it look like a seed emerged and became a possessed Tundra pumpkin in a Blizzard. The appearance for this gets a 8.3.                                                                                               

The Effort:

 Effort for this is average for pumpkins where they should be at. Dark put effort into this with he green-steel part. The blue part didn't have that much effort but Dark did fine on it.This is a good hat to look like a possessed pumpkin in a blizzard.There isn't really much to say in this paragraph other than the green steel and the color. The mesh for the pumpkin is the same except it's recolored black. So effort gets a 7.9.

The Overall:

Overall this is actually a good hat for looks. The price wise it is not at all.This hat was for 100,000 tickets which exchanges to usually 10,000 ROBUX, so that brings the score down. ROBLOX just made price high just so less people can get. What can really pull people in is the Green steel if they notice it and it is one of the few pumpkin hats we have on ROBLOX and not during Halloween. So this is a good hat except for the price. It has about 400 sales. Overall this is a 7.7. It should be a 8, but the price lowered a lot.

Juggernaut Review

      

          Hello! Welcome to today's game review! This time, I will be reviewing "Juggernaut" By Ozzypig.

★★Construction★★ 

          I loved the bold, brilliant, construction of this game. It couldn't have been any better for a Sword fighting one vs all game. The map was grey and gloomy; PERFECT for a game of this type! For me, the construction of the game was in the Goldilocks Zone. It wasn't too grey and boring looking, it wasn't too complicated for people to understand, it was Just Right!

★★Scripting★★ 

          Alright guys. The scripting part of the game was even better than the construction of the game. ( I didn't even know that was possible). Any possible thing you could hate about this game, the scripts would make you love it. The game comes with an in-game rule book, you can scroll through recent chats in the game (which is my favorite), see who still is in the game, and a lot more! In the scripting department, this game was flawless. It couldn't have been any better. 

★★Gameplay★★ 

          The gameplay is perfect as well as everything else. You would have to play this game for 4 hours a day for 3 days straight to get bored of it! That's just how much this game have to offer already. This is personally my favorite sword fighting game EVER. I don't think a sword fighting game will be able to top this for a very long time...

★★Overall★★ 

          So really, this game is epic no matter which way you look at it. There aren't any glitches or flaws in it at all. This game will be on the front page for a very long time. So what is the overall you ask? Well, this game gets 5 juggernaut Pwns out of 5. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to the game!

          

          

What happened to Superspyware (My now very old account)

Hello, and this is something I have to say.

I'd like to please say that Superspyware is now gone, someone has token over. And that
the future of me doing Game Reviews will still happen. As I am now on XxEmmaEvilxX, my

Bluesteel Crown Review

Texture 6.8/10

The texture of this item is not so original.The reason why is ROBLOX used the same mesh template for the Gold Crown made in 2007 for 5,000 tix. This time instead of it being gold only it is all pure blue of Bluesteel. I wish ROBLOX would have added some gold parts like in the other Bluesteel items. So the texture for this isn't too bad or too good. I would give the texture for this hat a 6.8.

Looks 5.5/10

The looks for this hat is "ok" and what I mean by that is it it average. Like I said before ROBLOX used the same template and just changed the color. It would be better if ROBLOX used a new template with like jewels encrusting it and those would be the yellow part but that's what re-texturing is for. So the color is the same shade of blue that was used in all other bluesteel items.Now I would give the looks at least a 5.5 since it isn't that original.

Effort 5/10

Okay the effort this is not that good. It is OK since it was based off another template and is the same exact thing except the color.ROBLOX didn't put much time in this because what it looks is that they got the Gold Crown mesh and just put 1 of the 2 bluesteel colors to fill it. The effort gets a 5.

Overall 6.2/10

For 5,000R$ it is an "OK" deal for you. It isn't that good because it is really worth 2.5 or 3k ROBUX instead of 5k. The colors are 1 of 2 bluesteel colors which is alright since this was based off a 2007 item which had 1 color. So overall for a Crown Bluesteel item this is average for you buyers.You should wait to see if it goes on sale next year or something. So overall I would give this hat a 6.2.

Warbots (Version 4.0) - Game Review

Construction:

9/10. The construction fits well for the game, there may be like 1 bug in the game, that's either because of the guns or the character, but this game has good building, scripting, etc.The team names sound interesting, "Red Iron", "Blue Steel", and that is very true if you look at the bots. Anyways, the construction is good and everything is where it's supposed to be/should be

Scripting:

9/10. The scripting is just fine and goes with the game nicely. The guns/weapons are nicely scripted into the game to make everything work perfectly. The teleporters in the game lobby are nicely scripting too, because you get to spawn as what you wanted to be (unless you don't have the right KOS, etc.). Other then that, the scripting is good.

Effort:

9/10. The effort put into the game is good for the game to make it interesting and fun to play, it can also make the game work well. The effort in games is what makes it fun, it's not fun if there is just a building and a baseplate and a hint message that says "Welcome!", it needs to be finished like Lewa1267 did with his game.

Gameplay:

9/10. The gameplay is good. It's a fun game to play and it's a good Sci-Fi game... because Bots have something to do with science. This is fun game to play, even though some people might say it's boring because there is really nothing to do but shoot bots.

Overall:

9/10. The game is fun, well scripted, well built and is an interesting "Bot" game. Everything is fine and I haven't noticed any bugs lately or any glitched lately. This is a clean game with cool guns and cool bots.

XOXO Bowtie Review

Hello there, I'm back and today I will be reviewing the XOXO Bowtie. The texture of it is pretty good. It is a regular bow tie mesh like almost all the other bow ties we have had in roblox. It is  put in lines of X's and O's. ROBLOX meant to do the X for one line and the O's another line .The X and O's are white making a good color scheme. It looks pretty silky if you look at it. The texture is silky with a red color scheme.

THE LOOKS:

The looks of this is pretty good or a bow tie. As I said before it looks silky and smooth and blood red with white X and O's.When you put it on your ROBLOXian it looks like it is going inside the top corners of your torso. It is a nice fit and looks pretty nice. However, some people can use this to look like an OD'er. The looks get a 8.4.

                                         

THE EFFORT:

XOXO Bowtie's effort is average.The ROBLOX admins used a regular bow tie Template. The colors are new so far with the XOXO's. So I would give the effort for this Bowtie a 7.5 because there is nothing new much.

THE OVERALL:

Overall this is a pretty good bow tie even though it went off sale for R$50.The colors are good for a Valentine bow tie. This is a good hat to get so the people who have you made a good choice. The effort is average for a bow tie so yeah pretty much it is a good hat for R$50. Overall I would give this hat a 7.9.

Bloons Tower Defense 3 Game Review

          Welcome to today's Game Review by needysweet1! Today we will be looking at "v0.83 Bloons Tower Defense 3 Beta" By Scripton. 

Game type=Strategy

 ★ ★Construction ★ ★

          The construction of this game was good. It's basic, and SUPER fun, just how I like my games! Well It wasn't fully simple. The maker of the game stated that it took him 1 hour to just make the map that the Bloons follow. That alone sounded like a lot of work! I wonder how long it took to make the whole game...

 

★ ★Scripting★ ★

          The scripting of the game was great. This game is still in Beta and I couldn't find any scripting errors! In the scripting department, this game was flawless. Not that many games can do that. That's just to show you how hard work can really pay off. Of course anyone can slap a few bricks together and call it a game! But not everyone can make that game GOOD in construction and scripting.

   

★ ★Gameplay★ ★

          The gameplay was great too! Actually it was addicting. Who knew that a Roblox version of a different game could be so fun! Well I sure did. As a strategy game, it will take some patience for the first few minutes you play it and you have to think where you should put the monkey towers at that will help you the most. Put a tower at the wrong place, and you will lose! But whether you win or lose, this game is still great.

          This game was one of the best strategy games I've ever played, and addicting. Anyway, why aren't you playing it right now? It's great! Bloons tower defense 3 is the type of game you should play at least twice a week! So let's get to the point. What's the overall you ask? Well this game get 5 super monkeys out of five!
